We are excited to announce that DPC is forming a team to participate in the Walk & Roll to Cure FSHD event! This incredible event is dedicated to raising awareness and funds to combat Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy (FSHD), a genetic muscle disorder that affects thousands of people worldwide. This year's Walk & Roll promises to be a fun and meaningful experience. By joining our team, you’ll not only enjoy a morning of walking, rolling, and exploring the beautiful Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, but you'll also be contributing to a cause that brings hope to many. Every step we take together brings us closer to finding a cure for FSHD.
How You Can Get Involved
1. Join Our Team: Sign up to walk or roll with us on September 7th. Whether you’re walking, rolling, or just cheering us on, your participation is invaluable. You can register by visiting our team page!
2. Donate: If you can’t make it to the event, you can still make a difference by donating to our team. Every dollar raised helps fund critical research and support services for those living with FSHD.

Why This Matters
FSHD is one of the most common forms of muscular dystrophy, yet it remains relatively unknown. It causes progressive muscle weakness, particularly in the face, shoulders, and upper arms, leading to significant physical challenges. By participating in this event, we are helping to change that. Our goal is to raise both awareness and funds to support the FSHD Society’s efforts to find treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
