Best UniFi Devices of 2025 (And What We Want in 2026)

Every year, we get the opportunity to test, deploy, and push a wide range of UniFi equipment in real-world environments—from client installations to in-house labs. As 2025 wraps up, we’re taking a step back to highlight the gear that stood out the most… and look ahead to what we’re hoping to see in 2026.

Our Favorite UniFi Devices of 2025

Rather than ranking them, these are the products that made the biggest impact on our day-to-day work.

Flex 2.5 Pro – Small but Mighty

The Flex 2.5 Pro quickly became a staple for us. The ability to power the switch via PoE and then distribute PoE to other devices makes it incredibly versatile. Whether we’re deploying rooftop cameras or staging multiple devices in the office, it’s a reliable, flexible solution that just works.

Pair it with the Flex Utility Pro, and you’ve got a powerful outdoor setup that’s hard to beat.

UniFi NVR Instant – A Perfect Entry Point

For anyone looking to get into UniFi Protect, the NVR Instant is a game changer. It’s an all-in-one solution that removes complexity and lowers the barrier to entry.

Combined with cameras like the G5 Ultra Turret, it delivers excellent value without sacrificing quality—making it ideal for both home users and small businesses.

SuperLink – A Glimpse Into the Future

SuperLink is one of the most exciting developments we’ve seen. After experimenting with Zigbee and MQTT setups, it’s clear those solutions can be powerful—but they’re not user-friendly for most people.

SuperLink has the potential to simplify smart integrations the same way UniFi has simplified networking: clean interface, easy deployment, and seamless integration.

Device Bridge / “USB Switch” – Solving Real Problems

Running cables isn’t always an option—especially in older buildings or complex environments. That’s where the Device Bridge lineup shines.

We’ve deployed these in challenging scenarios (including outdoor installs), and they’ve performed flawlessly. It’s a simple solution to a very real problem: extending networks without running new cable.

#1 Pick: UCG Fiber

Our top pick for 2025 is the UCG Fiber—and it’s not even close.

This device packs serious performance into a compact form factor: built-in NVR, PoE, 10G capabilities, and impressive throughput. For the price point, it delivers enterprise-level functionality in a way that’s accessible and practical.

It’s powerful enough that it’s become a go-to solution—even in our own environments.

Honorable Mentions

  • Flex Utility Pro – Incredible value and perfect for outdoor deployments
  • UniFi Rack – Premium build quality, though at a higher price point

What We Want to See in 2026

Looking ahead, here are the features and products we’re most excited (and hopeful) about:

1. SuperLink Sensors

A fully integrated, easy-to-use smart sensor ecosystem would be a huge win. If UniFi can simplify deployment the way they’ve done with networking, this could redefine smart home and SMB automation.

2. Affordable 25G Aggregation Switch

10G networking became accessible thanks to UniFi—now it’s time for 25G to follow the same path. A reasonably priced 25G aggregation switch would open up new possibilities for high-performance networks.

3. Next-Gen Cameras

We’re excited about the new multi-sensor camera, but we’d also love to see a G6 Ultra line—bringing advanced features (like AI detection) into a more affordable price range.

4. Better Global Management

As an MSP, centralized management is critical. The ability to push configurations, manage policies, and monitor environments across all clients from a single pane of glass would be a massive improvement—and something we’re eager to see evolve further.

5. UTM / Gateway Refresh

The UniFi gateway lineup feels due for an upgrade. Faster processors, improved switching, and higher throughput would make the next generation even more compelling for modern deployments.

Final Thoughts

2025 was a strong year for UniFi, with several standout products that made real-world deployments easier, faster, and more reliable.

If 2026 delivers on even a few of these expectations, it could be an even bigger year—not just for UniFi, but for the businesses and users who rely on these solutions every day.
